Mediation Services
WLF’s principal, Ted Weiss, serves as a mediator in business
and commercial disputes. The factor that distinguishes him
from other mediators is more than thirty-nine years of
experience in handling lawsuits for a broad range of clients
-- from Fortune 500 companies to small corporations and
individuals. Weiss worked for over twenty years as a partner
and associate in a large law firm, for three years as a
partner in a mid-size litigation firm, and sixteen years in
independent practice. This rich, extensive, and diverse
experience enables him to evaluate cases and counsel
parties concerning
the wisdom of settlement and the risks of resolving their
dispute through a trial before a judge or jury.
Weiss has completed the forty-hour course for mediators at
the University of Houston A. A. White Dispute Resolution
Center. He also studied the negotiation process in an
extensive seminar presented by Marty Latz of the Latz
Negotiation Institute. A mediator’s training and experience
are the catalysts that make the process work.
